Album of Johann Stade, a student in South Germany, consisting of an emblem book of his friends' allegorical and emblematic devices, dated 1589-1614. Each illustration accompanied by some verse or prose. Contains 19 watercolors, 10 of them coat-of-arms, and 9 allegorical figures representing faith, hope, charity, fortitude, temperance, patience, and two others.
